Book ahead, walk in, or pull up a stool at the raw bar. We are at 2245 Central Ave in St. Pete's Grand Central District, shucking oysters and pouring craft cocktails six nights a week.
How it works
Reserving a table at The Oyster Bar takes about a minute. Just call us at (727) 888-2894 and we will get you on the books and answer anything about the night's menu or rotating oyster varieties. Prefer to walk in. Even better, there is almost always a stool open at the raw bar.
Walk-ins are always welcome. Seats at the raw bar are first come, first served, so if you are flying solo or rolling two-deep, there is almost always a stool with your name on it. Watch the shuckers work, order the Great 8 Flight, and let the bartenders steer you toward a martini or a craft cocktail.
A little planning goes a long way on the busy windows. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 3, and our daily happy hour from 4 to 6 PM, with the oyster window from 4 to 5 PM and house old fashioneds at the bar. Those are our liveliest hours, so if you have a group or a hard start time, reserve ahead and we will have the table ready.

Getting here
We sit in the heart of the Grand Central District, the walkable, colorful stretch of Central Avenue that runs west out of downtown St. Petersburg. The address is 2245 Central Ave, between 22nd and 23rd Streets, with our exposed-brick room set back behind the patio. If you are coming from the beaches, downtown, or the interstate, Central Avenue is the straight shot that lands you right at our door.
For parking, there is metered and free on-street parking along Central Avenue and the quieter side streets just off it, plus public lots scattered through the district within an easy walk. Evenings and weekends get busy as the neighborhood fills up, so give yourself a few extra minutes and grab the first open spot you see rather than circling the block.
Rather skip the car. We are right on the SunRunner rapid transit line, which connects downtown St. Pete and St. Pete Beach along Central and First Avenues. Hop off near the Grand Central stops and you are steps from the bar. Rideshare drop-offs are simple too, with curb space right out front on Central.
When you arrive, the entrance is accessible and the patio is dog-friendly, so your well-behaved pup is welcome to join you outside while you split a dozen and a house old fashioned. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly room and a true neighborhood spot, so come as you are. Once you are settled, browse the full menu, plan around happy hour, or read a little of our story on the about page.
