Everything here starts with the raw bar. We bring our oysters in fresh and shuck every single one to order, so the half shell you get on Central Ave is as good as a raw bar gets in St. Petersburg. From there the kitchen takes over with the Gulf seafood St. Pete is known for, the blackened grouper that locals have ordered for decades, and a list of crispy, shareable plates built for a table that likes to graze.

What oysters do you serve at The Oyster Bar?

Raw oysters on the half shell are shucked to order from a rotating selection of East and West Coast varieties, so the lineup changes with the season and the daily catch. What is the Great 8 Flight?

The Great 8 Flight gives you one of each from 8 rotating East and West Coast oyster varieties. Because the lineup rotates, no two flights are exactly alike, which makes it the best way to taste the range of what we are shucking that day.

Do you have vegan or gluten-free options?

Yes. We offer a vegan plate, and the preparation changes with what is fresh, so ask your server for today's version. For gluten-free needs, talk to your server and the kitchen will do its best to accommodate. Call ahead at (727) 888-2894 if you would like to plan around a dietary need.

Is the grouper fresh and local?

Yes. Our Blackened Grouper Sandwich is built on fresh Gulf grouper, blackened and stacked the way it should be. It is a St. Pete classic and one of the dishes regulars order again and again.

Do you serve brunch?

Yes. Weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 3, with the full raw bar available and a buffet-style spread on Sundays. It is a relaxed way to enjoy oysters and Gulf seafood on Central Ave.
