Daily Happy Hour

Happy hour, every single day.

Oysters from 4 to 5, full happy hour 4 to 6, house old fashioneds, and weekend brunch. No two-day-a-week rules here. We run it every day we are open on Central Ave.

The Best Hour in St. Pete

A daily ritual at the raw bar.

Some places treat happy hour like a once-a-week favor. We treat it like a way of life. Every day we are open, the lights come up on the raw bar at four, the shuckers get to work, and oysters on the half shell take center stage for a full hour. It is the easiest, freshest way to start an evening in the Grand Central District, and locals have built their week around it for years.

This is a raw bar first, so the star of happy hour is the oyster. We bring them in fresh and shuck every single one to order, which means a happy-hour oyster here is the same briny, ice-cold bite as one off the regular menu. Pair them with a house old fashioned, settle in at the bar, and you have the whole point of the place in one sitting. The exposed-brick room hums, the patio catches the breeze, and the dog gets to come too. Our patio is dog friendly, so your pup is more than welcome to post up beside you while you work through a half-dozen.

Happy hour is a great excuse to try something new. Work your way through a few varieties, then graduate to the Great 8 Flight, one of each from eight rotating East and West Coast oysters. Add a plate of crispy calamari or some Brussels off the kitchen, order another round, and stay for the weekend brunch the next morning. However you build it, this is the neighborhood spot St. Pete keeps coming back to.

Good to Know

How happy hour works.

It could not be simpler. Happy hour runs daily from 4 to 6 PM, every day we are open, which is Tuesday through Sunday since we close on Mondays. The oyster window is the first hour, 4 to 5 PM, so if oysters are why you came, aim to land your seat early. The house old fashioneds stretch across the whole two hours, 4 to 6 PM, no rush on those.

Happy hour is good wherever you sit. Belly up to the bar, take a table inside the exposed-brick room, or head out to the dog-friendly patio. The oysters and the old fashioneds are the same in all three spots. Walk-ins are always welcome, and that easy, come-as-you-are feel is half the charm. The one thing worth knowing: four o'clock is the neighborhood's favorite time to show up, so the bar can get busy fast. If you want a guaranteed seat, especially with a group or on a Friday, call to reserve ahead and you will not have to wait for the good stuff.
